A yoga mat strap is very convenient to have attached if you go to yoga classes and transport your yoga mat from place to place. It is possible to buy a yoga mat that already has a strap, which is easy enough. You can also buy straps separately. But you could make one on your own as well.
Anything you buy from the store that you can make yourself feels much more satisfying once you actually get to use what you have made. Knitters especially know how this can feel, as they will work on a piece of clothing for a good amount of time and once it’s all done they can look back with a sense of achievement. Even if the sweater doesn’t look as good as you may have thought, you feel a sense of accomplishment from having made something with your own two hands.
